About the Artist

Susan Smolensky - Biography

Susan is an oil painter who is interested in imaginatively expressing an actuality that exists outside of ordinary perception. With paintbrush and canvas, with oil paint and a sense of unrestrained energy, Susan hopes to evoke a sense of wonder that transcends the subject and goes beyond the limit of human senses.  Her goal is to paint representations of nature that are harmonious and beautiful and, simultaneously, to show the viewer a reality that is beyond perceptual appearances and expectations.
